Colorado owner puts $200k home on market with squatters STILL inside

A listing for a Colorado home has sparked buzz because it’s being sold along with ‘occupants’ living inside who ‘don’t pay rent.’

The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 408 Garfield Ave in Nunn, Colorado carries a $215,280 asking price, but buyers won’t be able to tour it because it’s being sold ‘sight unseen’ while still occupied. 

‘Do not disturb the occupants. No showings and no property access for inspections or otherwise,’ the listing by Kittle Real Estate reads.

‘The Listing Agent does not have access to the property, has never been inside the property, and cannot speak to the condition of the property, mechanicals, appliances, or any other contents. 

‘The occupants do not pay rent. This is not an income property sale. Buyer ᴀssumes the property in its current, unknown, as-is condition with the occupants in place. Buyer will be responsible for obtaining possession of the property upon closing,’ the listing stated.

The listing further added all additional details in the listing come from public records and a previous expired MLS listing that have not been verified and may not be accurate. 

Kittle Real Estate declined to comment when contacted by the Daily Mail. 

The oddly-worded listing sparked a frenzy on social media after the X account Zillow Gone Wild shared it.

Many speculated that squatters were living inside and wondered what condition the home’s interior was in. 

‘I guess they can’t get rid of the squatters in the house so they are trying to sell it squatters and all so it becomes someone else’s problem,’ one person suggested.

Another believed there were no squatters and guessed the home may be in foreclosure. 

One user questioned: ‘What if the SELLER doesn’t own the house and has a fake deed? An old retired couple, the real owners, could be inside. Why say: “don’t disturb the tenants if they are squatting?”’

Others were stunned by the asking price for a home with no interior viewings. 

‘Not a house listing… it’s a full-blown side quest. $215k to claim the goblin den,’ one person wrote on X.

‘This ain’t even a listing no more its the realtor lowkey begging you not to buy unless you’re built for the absolute chaos ahead,’ another person wrote on X. 

Another wrote: ‘$215,000 for a squatter occupied house is crazy, no matter the location. The interior has got to be nuts.’

The Zillow listing includes only exterior pH๏τos of the 2,040 sq ft home, which sits in a remote area surrounded by dirt roads.

The property is located in Nunn, a small rural town in northern Colorado with a population of just 504, according to the 2020 US Census.

Nunn sits along US Highway 85, about 25 miles northeast of Fort Collins, between Greeley and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
